Miles for Me terms and conditions

  1. The Cathay Pacific Miles For Me program is an individual travel agent sales incentive program awarding Asia Miles. It is not a travel agency program. Asia Miles cannot be pooled or combined among individual travel agents, travel agencies or travel agency locations. The travel agent that sold the qualifying ticket, not the ticketing agent, is eligible to earn mileage credit in the Miles for Me Program.
  2. Travel agents must be employed by an ARC appointed travel agency located in the U.S. or an agency with a Cathay Pacific appointed accreditation number; and work at least 20 hours per week as a professional travel agent to participate in the Miles For Me program. When a participating travel agent is no longer employed by an ARC appointed travel agency or an agency with a Cathay Pacific appointed accreditation number for at least 20 hours per week, he/she is no longer eligible to earn mileage credit in the Miles For Me program.
  3. Tickets must be issued in the U.S. by an ARC appointed travel agency or an agency with a Cathay Pacific appointed accreditation number located in the U.S. for the related passenger travel to be eligible to earn Asia Miles in the Miles For Me program.
  4. Cathay Pacific reserves the right to verify travel agency employment and to request copies of tickets and other documents from participating travel agents to verify Miles For Me submissions. By enrolling in the Miles For Me program, participants agree to comply fully with all such requests.
  5. To participate in the Miles For Me program, the individual travel agent must register as a member in the Cathay Pacific CXagentsUSA program at www.cxagentsusa.com. Once confirmed as a member, travel agents must then enroll in the Miles For Me program. The participating travel agent can only earn miles for passenger travel that begins on or after the date he/she confirms their CXagentsUSA membership and Miles For Me registration.
  6. To earn Asia Miles, the individual travel agent must be a member in the Asia Miles program prior to enrolling in the Miles For Me program and prior to his/her submitted passengers' travel date. Passengers' ticket sold prior to enrollment in the Miles For Me program will not be honored for mileage in the Miles For Me program. To obtain an Asia Miles member account number, please log on to the Asia Miles website at www.asiamiles.com.
  7. Asia Miles mileage credit can only be earned when a Miles For Me participant requests mileage credit for passenger travel using the Miles For Me online forms as provided on the CXagentsUSA web site. Miles For Me participants cannot write, fax, call or e-mail Cathay Pacific or Asia Miles to request mileage credit; there are no exceptions under any circumstances including restricted office networks, or computer and unforeseen malfunctions. Nor can Cathay Pacific submit a transaction on behalf of a Miles For Me participant. Additionally, the Miles For Me participant must request the mileage credit in a timely manner as detailed in #19.
  8. Participants can only earn Miles For Me mileage credit to his/her personal Asia Miles member account when the first and last name and Asia Miles member account number match exactly that listed in their CXagentsUSA membership profile. Without an exact match, no Asia Miles mileage credit can be earned and no retroactive mileage credit can be awarded. Cathay Pacific cannot edit CXagentsUSA personal data and is not responsible for the loss of any mileage credit resulting from a participant's failure to keep his/her CXagentsUSA membership profile current.
  9. Miles For Me participants can earn Asia Miles mileage credit by selling qualifying roundtrip and one-way Cathay Pacific tickets for passenger travel completed by April 30, 2018 in the following subclasses. Mileage subclass and award levels are subject to change.

    First Class - Transpacific:

    • Subclass F roundtrip travel from North America to Hong Kong earns 14,300 Asia Miles
    • Subclass F one-way travel between North America and Hong Kong earns 5,720 Asia Miles
    • Subclass A roundtrip travel from North America to Hong Kong earns 12,000 Asia Miles
    • Subclass A one-way travel between North America and Hong Kong earns 4,840 Asia Miles

    First Class - Transborder:

    • Subclass F roundtrip travel from Vancouver (YVR) to New York (JFK) earns 7,700 Asia Miles
    • Subclass F one-way travel between Vancouver (YVR) and New York (JFK) earns 2,080 Asia Miles
    • Subclass A roundtrip travel from Vancouver (YVR) to New York (JFK) earns 5,500 Asia Miles
    • Subclass A one-way travel between Vancouver (YVR) and New York (JFK) earns 1,760 Asia Miles

    Business Class - Transpacific:

    • Subclass J roundtrip travel from North America to Hong Kong earns 8,580 Asia Miles
    • Subclass J one-way between North America and Hong Kong earns 3,430 Asia Miles
    • Subclass C roundtrip travel from North America to Hong Kong earns 7,000 Asia Miles
    • Subclass C one-way between North America and Hong Kong earns 2,860 Asia Miles
    • Subclass D roundtrip travel from North America to Hong Kong earns 4,000 Asia Miles
    • Subclass D one-way between North America and Hong Kong earns 1,450 Asia Miles
    • Subclass I roundtrip travel from North America to Hong Kong earns 2,700 Asia Miles

    Business Class - Transborder:

    • Subclass J roundtrip travel from Vancouver (YVR) to New York (JFK) earns 4,400 Asia Miles
    • Subclass J one-way between Vancouver (YVR) and New York (JFK) earns 1,248 Asia Miles
    • Subclass C roundtrip travel from Vancouver (YVR) to New York (JFK) earns 3,800 Asia Miles
    • Subclass C one-way between Vancouver (YVR) and New York (JFK) earns 1,040 Asia Miles
    • Subclass D roundtrip travel from Vancouver (YVR) to New York (JFK) earns 2,200 Asia Miles
    • Subclass D one-way between Vancouver (YVR) and New York (JFK) earns 528 Asia Miles
    • Subclass I roundtrip travel from Vancouver (YVR) to New York (JFK) earns 1,650 Asia Miles

    Premium Economy Class - Transpacific:

    • Subclass W/R roundtrip travel from North America to Hong Kong earns 1,870 Asia Miles

    • Subclass E roundtrip travel from North America to Hong Kong earns 1,000 Asia Miles
    • Subclass E one-way travel between North America and Hong Kong earns 620 Asia Miles

    Premium Economy Class - Transborder:

    • Subclass W/R roundtrip travel from Vancouver (YVR) to New York (JFK) earns 1,000 Asia Miles
    • Subclass W/R one-way between Vancouver (YVR) and New York (JFK) earns 260 Asia Miles
    • Subclass E roundtrip travel from Vancouver (YVR) to New York (JFK) earns 800 Asia Miles
    • Subclass E one-way between Vancouver (YVR) and New York (JFK) earns 220 Asia Miles
  10. Mileage credit for transborder travel is valid for travel between New York (JFK) and Vancouver(YVR) gateways only. Transpacific and transborder Asia Miles mileage credit cannot be combined.
  11. When roundtrip travel is booked in two different subclasses, Asia Miles mileage credit for the lower of the two subclasses will apply.
  12. All passenger travel must originate in North America and all roundtrip and one-way submitted passenger travel must be on Cathay Pacific Transpacific/Transborder flights or Cathay Pacific/AA Codeshare flight DFW-HKG (CX7681) or HKG-DFW (CX7680). Tickets must have been purchased and issued in North America to be eligible for mileage credit. All tickets submitted to the Miles for Me program for mileage credit, MUST be validated on Cathay Pacific (160).
  13. Participating travel agents can earn mileage credit in qualifying subclasses F, A, J, C, D, I, W, R and E until the travel agent's total miles earned in Asia Miles reaches a maximum of 60,000 miles each calendar month. Once a travel agent has reached the maximum total of 60,000 miles during a single calendar month, no additional mileage credit can be given under any circumstances and no submissions will be carried over into the following month. Total mileage earned per month is based on the agent's date of submission for passenger roundtrip outbound travel or one-way travel.
  14. Travel on free tickets, child fares, industry/agency discounts, special fares, group fares, prepaid ticket advice (PTA), tickets booked via online consumer booking engines, refunded or unused tickets do not qualify for Asia Miles mileage credit. For 2-for-1 offers, the revenue paying passengers' travel earns mileage credit; the companion (free or discounted) passengers' travel does not qualify for mileage credit.
  15. The sale of All Asia Pass does not qualify for Asia Miles, Miles For Me mileage credit.
  16. Transactions for roundtrip travel must be submitted online within 60 days from the passenger's outbound date of travel (departure date from North America), or submitted within 60 days from the passenger's one-way date of travel. Transactions submitted after 60 days do not qualify for mileage credit.
  17. Passenger roundtrip travel must be completed no more than 90 days following a passenger's departure (westbound) date. No extensions can be given under any circumstances including passenger itinerary changes, flight delays, cancelled flights or missed connections. Open ticket submitted as a one-way transaction will only be awarded with one-way mileage credit. Roundtrip mileage credit cannot be earned for two one-way submissions, nor can roundtrip travel be submitted as two one-way transactions when the passenger's travel exceeds 90 days. Once the submission has been approved, no edits to the same transaction can be made.
  18. When a transaction cannot be verified, Cathay Pacific will send an e-mail message to the participant's membership registered e-mail address, and the transaction status will be posted in the Miles For Me "Transaction Summary" as "Outbound/Inbound Flight Rejected". A participant then has up to 60 days to edit the transaction. If a roundtrip or one-way transaction remains unedited for 60 days no Asia Miles mileage credit will be earned. If one segment of a roundtrip transaction has been approved and the other rejected, and remains unedited for 60 days, mileage credit will be awarded for the approved one-way segment only.
  19. Asia Miles mileage credit will not be granted under any circumstances for transactions submitted prior to the participant's Asia Miles membership enrollment date and/or a participant's CXagentsUSA and Miles For Me confirmation date. Retroactive mileage credit will not be granted for transactions submitted for travel 60 days after a passenger's roundtrip outbound travel date or one-way travel date, or 60 days after the date a transaction is rejected, as outlined in #5, #6, #16 and #18.
  20. Asia Miles mileage credit will only be awarded for a given passenger's travel to a single Miles For Me participant. In the event a given passenger's travel is submitted by more than one participating travel agent, the first submission received will be the only submitted transaction processed. Thereafter, all other transactions submitted for that same travel will be considered a duplicate transaction and will be completely rejected. No duplicate transactions or submissions under dispute will be granted mileage credit under any circumstances. Cathay Pacific is not responsible for mediating disputed transactions between agents.
  21. Cathay Pacific reserves the right to exclude any individual travel agency or individual travel agent from participating in the Miles For Me program. Cathay Pacific reserves the right to disqualify any person from participation in the Miles For Me program if that person, in Cathay Pacific's sole judgment, has violated the rules or intent of this promotion. Fraud, misrepresentation, abuse or violation of the applicable rules is subject to appropriate administrative and/or legal action by appropriate governmental authorities and Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. Such action may include, without limitation, the forfeiture of accrued mileage credit and/or award certificates, tickets issued against award certificates, as well as the termination of the Asia Miles or AAdvantage member account and the member's future participation in the Miles For Me program.
  22. At no time can Asia Miles mileage credit or travel awards be purchased, sold or bartered. Violations will result in the forfeiture of mileage credits earned and/or awards. Violators may be liable for damages suffered or incurred by Cathay Pacific, litigation and transaction costs.
  23. If an individual travel agent terminates his/her membership in either the Cathay Pacific CXagentsUSA program or the Miles For Me program, no Asia Miles mileage credit can be earned from that date forward including pending transactions, nor can the earned miles or pending miles be transferred to another agent currently participating in the Miles For Me program.
  24. Miles For Me participants who earn miles are solely responsible for the reporting and payment of any taxes that may be due as a result of Asia Miles earned and/or used in connection with the Miles For Me program.
  25. Miles For Me participants are responsible for any Internet access charges, telephone company charges, tolls, fees, taxes, hardware and software expenses incurred in the course of using or participating in the Miles For Me program.
  26. Cathay Pacific reserves the right to change or withdraw the Miles For Me program at any time without prior notice.
  27. Cathay Pacific reserves the right to establish an earning cap and/or change the earning cap of a travel agency or travel agent at any time without prior notice.
  28. Cathay Pacific is not responsible for Miles For Me transactions that are lost, late, illegible, misdirected, garbled or incomplete, nor for computer system, phone line hardware, software and program malfunctions or other errors, failures, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature.
  29. If, for any reason, the Miles For Me program is not capable of running as planned (including, but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering or unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion), Cathay Pacific reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Miles For Me program without prior notice.
  30. Employees, officers, directors of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited or its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising agents, sweepstakes agents, contractors, consultants or sales representatives are ineligible to participate in the Miles For Me program.
  31. Asia Miles reserves the right to change the Asia Miles program rules, regulations, travel awards and special offers at any time without notice.
